End of the Summer

Our last major project of the summer was building railings for the bridge, which would bring it up to code and allow us to use it as part of an off-road trail leading back to campus, which we hope will bring more environmental studies students to the ESL during the semester.  Here are a few pictures of the finished project.

The handrails are made from black locust trees cut from the ESL tree nursery, part of the sustainability initiatives on the property

It has been a great summer in the garden and though it is not time to harvest yet, we can tell from all the growth that it is due for a great bounty in the coming weeks and months!  So long from the ESL!
